Organisers say it is the only event which brings together everyone from across the value chain, from all over the world, to identify and implement solutions to the well-known challenges facing this sector.

"You will join farmers, producer organisations, national governments, traders, chocolate manufacturers and NGOs," the organisers say.

At the event the leading influencers in the global cocoa and chocolate sector will speak and experts will examine the impact of low prices on the sustainability of cocoa production and the outlook for the global supply/demand balance.

Industry experts will also assess prospects for boosting demand for cocoa in high consumption countries, origin countries and fast growing economies while addressing  the challenges facing cocoa producing communities around the world.

The technical side will deal with the use of new research to enhance cocoa production and develop climate smart technologies.

The organisers say that 1500 delegates will come from more than 65 countries, and most of the world's biggest food companies will be there.
