This was announced by CCF chairman Peter Aitsi this week, who said that Roberts had been with Credit Corp for five months after been recruited as business development manager.

The company says that in this short time, Roberts has been able to refocus the finance business and is driving continued growth of the lending book.

"The appointment of Mr Roberts and the recruitment of key management positions will enable to increase capabilities in key parts of our business," Aitsi said, adding that this would support the strategy of driving growth for shareholders and enhance client service offering.

The company says that two key management positions will be advertised over coming weeks as it is looking for a general manager for its properties and a head of credit "to bring increased capabilities and focus to these key areas".

Meanwhile outgoing chief financial officer Avinesh Ram returns to Fiji in June. Aitsi said: "We thank Mr Ram for his contribution to Credit Corporation for the past two years. The recruitment for a new chief financial officer is under way and we expect to appoint the successful candidate over the coming weeks."
