The office - for this international provider of technical personnel specialising in quality assurance-control, inspection and vendor surveillance services to the energy industry - will offer support and services to clients in this region.
The company said that the new base was set to become a focal point and knowledge hub for all of Fulkrum's projects taking place in Asia-Pacific.
The launch of this office, the company said, marked a strong end to 2017 and created a platform for further growth in 2018. Fulkrum plans to open further branches in the region over the next 12 months and beyond, including a base in China.
Fulkrum Asia-Pacific regional manager Ryan Tandy said the company saw opportunity in this market over the coming years.
"I'm excited to increase our footprint and raise our profile across Asia-Pacific. Our new regional hub in Malaysia will be an integral part of this expansion, and will help us to continue delivering the highest quality services and solutions to our clients," Tandy said.
