BSP staff did much of the work. "The project was a key part of team building exercise and to promote the organisations values of, community, teamwork, leadership and people. We would also like to acknowledge the assistance of the contractor and Akzo Nobel for donating paint to complete the project," BSP fund manager Willie Konga said.

Konga said that BSP Capital staff began with a wash-down of the interior and exterior walls of the library with paint work extensively done by staff and their families.

The renovation included the installation of new lighting, new floor tiles, vanished tables, floors and newly painted walls in the interior and exterior of the building.

"We believe in contributing to the development of young Papua New Guineans and assisting in providing better working environment for our students, to improve learning," Konga said.

Gordon principal George Kenega thanked BSP for the work and said that the renovated building motivated both students and staff.
