This would involve testing of free gold and platinum over 125 cubic metres of test pits over a one square kilometre area in the company's efforts to establish a maiden resource at the Crown Ridge.

"Further to the phase two, additional scout test pits will be undertaken across seven square kilometres," the company said.

Crown Ridge comprises six exploration licences covering 1169sq.km in the New Guinea Thrust Belt, a major tectonic feature that hosts several well-known gold and copper-gold deposits including OK Tedi, Porgera, Mt Kare, Frieda River and Yandera.
