Staff from Bank South Pacific, Waigani Banking Centre, helped renovate two classrooms at the facility, which were handed over to the school last week.
BSP said its staff did volunteer work over preceding weekends to clean up and wash down the building walls in preparation for work to be done by a contractor hired to do the renovation.
"They also took time to assist in painting the two classrooms, ablution blocks, fence and the playground after the renovation was completed," BSP said.
The Taurama Barracks Preschool was established in 2006 to serve the growing population of young children living at the barracks.
Headmistress Margaret Ume thanked BSP for choosing to do this work for the preschool.
"On behalf of Taurama Barracks Preschool, the children and parents, we thank you BSP for supporting the future of our children with this kind gesture that will enable our young minds to learn in a friendly atmosphere," Ume said.
The completed project was handed over to Taurama Barracks commanding officer Boniface Aruma by BSP area manager Maureen Wanu.
