Poi trenching points the way forward

MIL Resources has been encouraged by results from recent trenching at its Poi gold copper project and aims to start a drilling program in the second half of this year.

Trenching included a 38 metre trench at 0.61 grams per tonne of gold which included a 12m section at 1.21gpt gold.

Results from other trenches included 17.6m at 0.21gpt gold including a 3m section at 0.53gpt and a 9m trench at 1.5gpt including a 3m section at 4.1gpt gold.

The trenching program included the excavation of nine trenches totalling 566m and the collection of 189 trench samples with a total gold assay range of les than 0.01gpt to 4.1gpt.

The results from the program will be incorporated into the company’s updated model of the Poi system currently being developed.
