Kokoda man's latest award

CHARLIE Lynn, best known in Papua New Guinea for Adventure Kokoda – which is a company that operates tours of the historic battle trail – has become a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia.

Lynn received the title for service to the people and parliament of New South Wales.
During his 20 years in parliament, Lynn was a member of the legislative council, parliamentary secretary for veterans affairs and shadow parliamentary secretary to the opposition leader.
Lynn has been involved with the historic Kokoda Track for 22 years and has hiked it on more than 90 occasions. He has received PNG's second highest award for his work at the track and his efforts to improve the lives of people living alongside it,
